Program Overview:

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing, administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.

The program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration, and management of computing technologies within an organization.

Bachelor of Science In Information Systems

Program Overview:

The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems program includes the study of the application and effects of information technology on organizations. Graduates of the program should be able to implement information systems that consider complex technological and organizational factors. These include appropriate components, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Graduates are prepared to help organizations determine how information and technology-enabled business processes can be used as strategic tools to achieve a competitive advantage.

Information Systems professionals therefore require a sound understanding of organizational principles and practices so they can serve as an effective bridge between technical personnel and the management and user communities within an organization. This enables them to ensure that the organization has the information and systems needed to support its operations.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science

Program Overview:

The Bachelor of Library and Information Science program is the study of the development, deployment, and management of information resources in print, non-print, electronic, and digital formats and services. Graduates of the program are prepared to apply information technology to basic library operations and functions. Moreover, they are trained to harness a range of bibliographical and online tools to support teaching, research, and other services.

Graduates of the program are likewise expected to systematically organize, conserve, preserve, and restore information objects, such as realia and museum pieces; historical and cultural documents, including artifacts, archival documents, and indigenous knowledge; and other intellectual properties, including creative ideas and works produced by individuals and groups.

The program is based on the Guidelines for Professional Library and Information Education Programs of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), as well as on the curricula of various library schools abroad.
