Bulacan State University’s (BulSU) College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) faculty carried out the Agapay-Tugon Project Technology Transfer last June 13, 2023 at the BulSU E-Library AVR.

Ma’am Ma. Ruby Angela Crisostomo led the program, and started with an opening remark from the college dean, Dr. Keno Piad. Following was an inspirational message from the University President, Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon.

During the presentation for the developed systems, Mr. Jayson Batoon and Ma’am Jennylyn Aniag introduced a website for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Baliwag alongside the people they worked with. They then stated their objective for the project was “to improve and expand the current system or infrastructure through successful projects that provide more functionalities, better performance, and more values.”

Mr. Batoon and Ma’am Aniag also showcased the various features of the website. They added that the system was not solely for the branch of Baliwag since different branches can customize their visions, missions, and logos. To end the presentation, they said that a mobile version of the system is also available.

Engr. Noemi Reyes presented the Department of Education (DepEd) Web-based Record Management System in partnership with DepEd Malolos. The system featured two views, web-view and mobile view. It also has a dashboard for students, teachers and parents alike. She also mentioned that only registered members of schools under DepEd Malolos can access the site. With the aim of minimizing face-to-face transactions, Engr. Naomi highlighted that the system enables users to access and request any information or services related to students directly through the website.

Continuing, Engr. Reyes introduced the partnership with Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Marxton Construction based in Bustos, Bulacan. The system was made to help them manage their inventories and deployments more easily. Admins and supervisors can also access and request materials when needed. It also features a request statistics which allows them to monitor their items. To conclude her presentation, she mentioned the people she worked with on the project.

After the presentations, the organizers called on the BJMP Baliwag Warden for their feedback on the project. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the university for assisting their bureau, and presented a certificate to the admins.

To formally close the event, CICT CESU Head Ma’am Ma. Lourdes Tiongson gave her closing remarks. The program concluded after the singing of BulSU March. – Nikita Marie Tenorio
