The 82nd General Commencement Exercises of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) and the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) with the theme “Pagsubรข: Advancing Towards Success, Celebrating Excellence and Mastery” held on June 20th at the KB Gymnasium.
University President Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon introduced Governor Daniel Fernando as the guest speaker, who emphasized the importance of not taking education for granted in his speech. Alongside his message, he advised the graduates not to waste their time and opportunities.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by 747 graduates from CICT and 380 graduates from CSSP, accompanied by their parents and families, as well as faculty members from both colleges.
Following Governor Fernando’s address, President Gascon delivered a speech, challenging the graduating students to go beyond the walls of BulSU.
After the speeches, the diplomas were formally handed out to the graduates of the two colleges.
The event then proceeded with the speech of gratitude from Jewel Christine C. Sayo, Summa Cum Laude from the Bachelor of Social Science program followed by Jean Eren D. Fajardo, Summa Cum Laude from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program with a specialization in Web and Mobile Application Development, then led the oath of allegiance to Alma Mater.
Immediately after, the Oath of Allegiance to the Alumni Association was administered by Dr. Rolando R. Gaspar, President of the BulSU Federation of Alumni Associations. With this, the program came to a formal close, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the graduates.
The 82nd Commencement Exercises of Bulacan State University’s CSSP and CICT served as a significant milestone for them, their families, and the university community. It symbolized the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. As these graduates step out into the world, armed with their education and the wisdom imparted to them, they are now ready to face the challenges and embrace the opportunities that lie beyond the confines of BulSU. – Ryan Carlo Gomez
