The Society for the Welfare of Information Technology Students led the 3rd Lightbourn of Technology: AI TRiSM (Trust, Risk, and Security Management) held last February 25, 2023, via Facebook live.
The program began with the opening remarks from Mr. Jasperone Dalisay, SWITS’ Business Manager. Followed by a promising message delivered by Engr. Lester Phil Cruz, CICT’s College Secretary.
The main objective is to navigate the complex landscape of AI in terms of safety and its usage in the community. The guest speaker, Mr. Jonathan Anthony Hernandez, a cybersecurity specialist at Exceed, discussed the โGovernance, Risk, and Compliance Overviewโ which was relevant and an important foundation for AI TRiSM. Afterwards, certificate of appreciation was awarded to the guest speaker.
As the program was about to end, the faculty adviser of SWITS, Mr. Sheldon Arenas addressed the glorious future ahead of the CICT students and the infinite opportunities for the AI field throughout the world.
Furthermore, SWITS had already conducted two parts of the event last January 28 and February 11. These are all in line with their main event: 7 Lightbourn of Technology. Hence, the students should expect bountiful learnings on their way that will hone their technical skills which will open doors towards success. – Aubrey Garcia
